Margot Robbie wowed as she took to the pink carpet at London's Leicester Square last night for the UK premiere of Barbie. Thousands of fans lined up to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood actress, alongside Ken star Ryan Gosling, ahead of the film's release on July 21.

The star-studded event took place outside Cineworld, with the red carpet replaced with the colour pink to match the Barbie theme. The highly-anticipated film's lead, Robbie, 33, stunned in a custom made Vivienne Westwood gown, inspired by a vintage 1960 Enchanted Evening Barbie doll.

The off-the-shoulder dress featured a fur lining across the neck-line, with a silk train attached via a statement rosette piece on Robbie's waist. She completed her glamorous look with an elegant up-do and a pearl choker necklace.

Gosling, 42, looked dapper in a tailored pastel blue suit, white shirt and tousled blond locks. They were joined by fellow cast members America Ferrera, 39, Issa Rae, 38 and Simu Liu, 34.

Other big names in attendance included the likes of popstar Dua Lipa, who sings the lead song on the movie's sound track: 'Dance The Night'. She arrived in a multi-coloured rhinestone gown, complete with silver high heels and gold statement jewellery.

The 27-year-old singer also makes a special cameo as the mermaid Barbie in the film. Sam Smith was spotted posing for the camera, whose song 'Man I Am', features on the movie's soundtrack too - which is said to be written from the perspective of Ken.

Irish actress Nicola Coughlan and future Doctor Who Ncuti Gatwa also made an appearance. Director of the flick, Greta Gerwig, was seen rocking a sparkly pink gown.

Speaking about the film ahead of the premiere, Gerwig said that while writing the script, she aimed to create something anarchic and wild and completely bananas. Although reviews are likely to not come out until the first week of the movie's release, many have already showered Barbie The Movie with praise.

The synopsis of the film reads: Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.
