The 26-year-old actress managed to impress director Martin Scorsese AND her co-star Leonardo DiCaprio by going totally off-script, as Martin writes in Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People issue.
She clinched her part in The Wolf of Wall Street during our first meeting—by hauling off and giving Leonardo DiCaprio a thunderclap of a slap on the face, writes Scorsese.

It's the first time the Oscar-winning director has spoken about Margot's action, but she herself has previously mentioned how worried she was that the police were about to be called.

Afterwards, she thought Leo was either going to get her arrested or sue her – but both he and Martin burst out laughing, and Leo even told her to hit him again.
