The daytime classic TV show Neighbours is set to come to a sad end soon, having catapulted the careers of stars we know and love today including Margot Robbie.

They said: Teenager Donna Freedman filled a lot of her spare time avoiding her warring parents at home, instead developing obsessions with various musicians.

People assumed that Margot, who according to celebrity Net Worth is believed to have around £19 million to her name, was living well when she was a Ramsay Street regular.

As reported on Yahoo, she later said of her time on the show: At 18, people would approach me and be all like, 'You're that chick from 'Neighbours', do you own six houses or something?' In reality I was living in an absolute crack den of an apartment with a fridge and a mattress on the floor.

Donna became one of the show's most popular characters at the time and it was later revealed that the show runner's decided not to kill her off in case Robbie's career in America - which she left the show for - didn't quite work out.

She told Digital Spy: I told them I was going to move to America and then I asked if they would kill me off in like a really big dramatic way.

They said no because, you know, 'If things don't work out in America, we want you to be able to come back and play the role again'.

The Suicide Squad actress explained: You have to be word-perfect, and they're switching as you act, so if you don't hit your mark, or if you aren't word-perfect, and they're shooting it so quickly, there's really no time to mess up, she explained.
