Idris is speeding into another franchise and has been roped in to voice the fan-favourite character Knuckles in the upcoing Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The fil will be directed by Jeff Fowler, with Ben Schwartz returning to voice Sonic. The fil also stars Jaes arsden, Tika Supter, Natasha Rothwell, Ada Pally, Shear oore and Ji Carrey. Knucles first appeared as an antagonist in 1994’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3 but soon befriended Sonic and his ally Tails and becae a protagonist in his own right in 1995’s Sonic ≈ Knuckles. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is due out fro Paraount on April 8, 2022.

While he plays a mercenary on-screen, Margot Robbie revealed to 'sChloe Wilde that her co-star took on the dad role on set, fully equipped with the dad jokes.
“As far as slipping into the leadership dad role I’d say that only went as far as his dad jokes. He has a lot of dad jokes which you just don’t expect from Idris. You’re kind of like, ‘Yeah, he’s cool, rapper, DJ.’ And then you’re like – sometime it’s like – just proper dad jokes and you’re like, ‘Wow, Idris, you’re such a dork, ’” Robbie revealed.
“There wasn’t a specific leader of the gang. Everyone got along so well. It really did turn into a family pretty quickly. That always makes making movies so much more fun when you genuinely love the people you’re working with, ” she added of the atmosphere on set.

When it comes to Harley Quinn’s evolution throughout the years, Robbie says she has enjoyed getting to know her at every stage of her life.
“I just love kind of playing her at different stages of her life. The first time I played her, she kind of had this perceived security by being in a relationship with Mr. J and then in Birds of Prey she’s kind of lost that and trying to figure out if she can stand on her own two feet, Robbie explained.
“In this film, she knows she can stand on her own two feet and she’s also kind of ready to look for love again. Romantically speaking, there’s been quite an evolution but she’s just been very different. She’s been at very different stages in her life in all three films so I’ve had fun with that.”

A little confusing, to be sure, but if you choose to focus on this film and not worry about exactly where it fits into the DC Extended Universe, you’ll find yourself having a pretty good time.

What really made the film work, though, was that the cast worked together like a well-oiled machine. This translates to their real lives, as well. While attending a live webinar where the cast answered questions, their camaraderie was apparent. They would crack jokes with one another, often at Michael Rooker’s (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) expense, and laugh about fun memories on set. Everyone would listen to Sylvester Stallone, a commanding presence, tell stories about his childhood. They used the Zoom private chat to communicate with each other, including Idris Elba (“Thor: Ragnarok”) messaging James Gunn. They knew each other well and very clearly enjoyed being around one another, no matter their role in the film: Even the characters with less screen time, such as Pete Davidson (“The King of Staten Island”) and Nathan Fillion (“Castle”), or those who played villains against the antiheroes of the Suicide Squad, like Juan Diego Botto (“La Celestina”) and Joaquín Cosío (“Quantum of Solace”), were part of the group, part of the family.
“The Suicide Squad” isn’t exactly like other superhero movies, mostly because the superheroes aren’t really heroes at all; they’ve all got issues, and most of them are only helping Amanda Waller out because she’s coerced them. But you do find yourself caring about the characters and rooting for (most of) them, which is what any good ensemble hero movie hopes to do. Because ofits initial focus on human villains (though, there is a “monster” villain near the end) “The Suicide Squad” was far more entertaining and successful than its 2016 counterpart.
In short, with its genuinely hilarious scenes and, more importantly, the real familial bonds you see from its cast, “The Suicide Squad” is worth watching. It’s one of the first big-name movies in theaters in a long time and has definitely been worth the wait.
