The piece featured some of the brand's trademark design motifs, including Medusa emblem hardware on the straps as well as its unique reverse sweetheart neckline. Inspired by the Greco-Roman stories present in much of Italian art, the house's founder Gianni chose Medusa's head as Versace's logo for its mythical significance.
