The Barbie cast certainly know how to party as Margot Robbie revealed that they had a ‘sexy sleepover’ which including ‘sharing beds’, wearing ‘silk nighties’ and 'having fun'

The 32-year-old played the title character in Greta Gerwig’s anticipated flick and dished the goss on the crew getting together for slumber party at Claridge’s hotel in London.

And Margot revealed that the Barbie stars ditched their costumes for “silky nightgowns” and had a night of “fun”, while on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Monday (12 June).

“We all shared beds and wore our pyjamas, and ordered room service and played games, and found out that America [Ferrera] is exceptionally competitive.”

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera, who plays Gloria in the movie which hits the silver screen on July 21, revealed that she was dressed like a grandma compared to her sexy co-stars.

“So everybody was in like really pretty, silky nightgowns and I was in like the most grandma floral twin set you can imagine.”

Greta Gerwig said that ahead of shooting Barbie, she and lead star Margot Robbie got together for a girly sleepover in which they played games and wore pink sleepover outfits.

The Barbie Movie Definitely Has Multiple Barbies

In a new interview withThe New York Times, the Little Women director opened up about the experience of filming the highly-anticipated movie about the iconic Mattel doll, which is hitting theaters on July 21, 2023.

While she didn't reveal anything about the closely-guarded plot of the film, Gerwig did say that she kicked off filming in London, England, with a Barbie sleepover with Robbie and some of the other women and men working on the movie.

Explaining why she decided to bring her cast and crew together for a slumber party, Gerwig said: I really love building companies of actors almost like a theater troupe.

I wanted that kind of energy because it was a really big cast, she continued. It was like, well, let's do something totally girly.

Gerwig also said she invited the cast to watch weekly movie screenings at the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill while filming in the UK capital to give them a better sense of the kind of tone she was trying to achieve in the movie.

Gerwig said the message she was trying to convey with the screenings was: Don't worry. People have made really wild movies before.
