While Marvel's interest in Robbie is understandable, the actress is already an established DC star due to her iconic portrayal of Harley Quinn in 2016's Suicide Squad from David Ayer, 2020's Birds of Prey, and James Gunn's The Suicide Squad from 2021.

But reportedly, the Barbie star now has the chance to jump brands and star in one of Marvel Studios' most-anticipated future films. 

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios recently offered Academy Award-nominated actress Margot Robbie the role of Fantastic Four's Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

If true, this does not mean Robbie has been cast in the 2025 reboot, but just that she's been offered the part that she could pass on.

In addition, Adam Driver is rumored to be in talks to play Reed Richards or Mr. Fantastic, and Daniel Richtman previously reportedly that Marvel offered Paul Mescal the role of Johnny Storm aka Human Torch. 

Until now, the big question concerning Margot Robbie and comic book films has been her Harley Quinn future, especially in light of James Gunn and Peter Safran's DCU reboot.

Even though Gunn said he would for sure work with her again, this Fantastic Four rumor just made that situation all the more interesting. 

While a number of Hollywood stars have appeared in both Marvel and DC movies through the years, a recognizable actress like Robbie in two huge, leading roles would be a first. 

Not only is her star power on the rise, but James Gunn once praised Robbie as the best actor [he'd] ever worked with, bar none. Plus, her potentially starring opposite Adam Driver is a pairing few Marvel fans wouldn't be excited about.

Given the recent uptick of splashy Fantastic Four casting news, an official announcement may be on the way. However, Marvel Studios may wait until July's San Diego Comic-Con to reveal the full cast. 

If so, and if Margot Robbie accepts the Marvel offer, Greta Gerwig's Barbie won't be the only reason she dominates this summer's headlines.
