Margot Robbie Barbie Versace Dress

Press tour, including classic and modern iterations of the doll itself. For two Sydney events yesterday, the actress dipped into the Versace archives for two '90s-era metallic pink ensembles.

Celebration party at Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art, the star dressed in a metal-mesh minidress from the brand's fall 1994 collection, which featured a bustier bodice and a flouncy skirt. She paired the dress with see-through heeled sandals by Manolo Blahnik and minimal jewelry, with her hair styled in relaxed waves.

Earlier in the day, Robbie channeled preppy Barbie in a look from one of Versace's best-known print campaigns, also circa 1994. Styled by Andrew Mukamal, the star accessorized the pale pink turtleneck sweater and metallic pleated skirt with white heeled loafers by Manolo Blahnik and purple crew socks.

Yesterday on Australia's Bondi Beach, the star paid homage to the first-ever Barbie, released in 1959, with a black-and-white striped ensemble. Rather than the doll's strapless leotard, she wore a custom Hervé Léger minidress, paired with black Manolo Blahnik heeled mules and white-rimmed vintage sunglasses. Her hair was worn in a curly ponytail.

In addition to her flawless themed wardrobe so far, Robbie is also sharing behind-the-scenes details from the highly-anticipated film. She recently spoke to Fandango about how she and the film's crew managed to get the now-viral trailer shot of her arched Barbie feet.

It was probably about eight takes. Wasn’t that many, she said. I walked up, we had little sticky bits on the floor, double-sided tape for the shoes, so they wouldn't come off, so I could get my feet out of them. And I was holding onto a bar. But that's it. I wasn't in a harness or anything like that. I just walked up, kind of held onto the bar above [the] camera.
